Dentsu Inc. Instructs All Employees Working in the Dentsu Head Office Building in Shiodome, Tokyo to Work Remotely from Home from February 26

In order to respond to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, Dentsu Inc. has set up a task force led by its president & CEO Hiroshi Igarashi and has adopted measures that take into consideration the safety of its employees and business partners.

On February 24, 2020, a male employee in his 50s working at the Dentsu head office building in Shiodome, Tokyo tested positive for the new coronavirus infection.

In addition, the public health center has identified four close contacts and will provide progress reports of its observation of their health (temperature measurement, physical condition, and other factors) until the end of the specified observation period on March 5. The public health center also gave instructions to disinfect the workspace where the infected employee was working, and Dentsu Inc. will respond appropriately. The four employees who were in close contact with the infected employee have been working remotely from home since February 25, and they are prohibited from visiting business partners.

In addition to the above measures, Dentsu Inc. has decided to prohibit the use of certain office floors and to switch to home-based work from February 26 for all employees working at the Dentsu head office building. During this time, employees are required to report their health status to the labor management directors of each division.

These measures are designed to create an environment in which Dentsu Inc. can provide its services to society and its business partners with peace of mind, and the Company plans to continue them for the time being until the situation subsides.

Dentsu Inc. will respond to the new coronavirus issue on a building-by-building basis, and this time the directive only applies to the office space of the Dentsu head office building in Shiodome, Tokyo. The Kansai and Chubu branch offices are not included in this directive.

Employees who work in the Dentsu head office building will basically be working remotely from February 26. Nevertheless, if they need to work urgently with a business partner, they must be in good physical health and should comply with that company's rules regarding the new coronavirus issue. In accordance with these conditions, they will continue to hold meetings, production operations, presentations and so forth at the offices of its business partners, based on mutual agreement.

Going forward, Dentsu Inc. will continue to prioritize the prevention of the spread of the new coronavirus infection both inside and outside of the Company and ensure the safety of its employees. The Company will quickly determine and implement response policies based on government policies and action plans.

Thank you for your continued understanding.
